Please understand that, due to the wide range of multi, single or half days, the number of people in a group, their equipment and experience level it is very difficult to simply have a set ‘price list’ for everything. To give you some idea of the likely cost, below are examples of the ‘standard’ prices of services.
GUIDING & COACHING – 2019
Normally I would limit coaching for absolute beginners to a maximum of to three clients, but this may be negotiable. The maximum number of clients for boat or saltwater fly fishing is two. Equipment, hot drinks and home baking included but please bring your own lunch! Additional fees for trout permits (from £7.50 per person per day) boat hire (from £10 per day) and engine hire ( from £15 per day) should they be used. Prices for local salmon beats can be quoted upon request.
Guiding & Coaching
Full Day: £195 for first client and £30 p.p. for any further clients
Half Day: £115 for first client and £25 p.p. for any further clients*
Three-quarters Day: £170 for first client and £30 for any further clients
Extended Day: £240 for first client and £40 p.p. for any further clients
* Due to high demand in May and June I can only accept advance bookings for Full Days and Extended Days for these months. I can however attempt to keep some days free should you want only a Half day during your visit to Assynt and stay in touch with you to advise of availability. Half Days would be confirmed if available no more than seven days prior.
Family groups – The standard daily rates apply and all under 16s are free but there must be at least one adult in the group. Normally there is a maximum of three under 16s per booking but this will depend on the composition of the group.
Half Day bookings will be conducted within 15 miles of the village of Lochinver. If you are looking to explore deeper into the Assynt wilderness an Extended day will more than likely be required to maximise fishing time.
FLY FISHING SAFARI
Due to the large number of variables in organising a camping expedition, particularly regarding how we would access the wilderness, the prices below are very much estimated costs but should give you an idea of what your Safari will cost. Please get in touch with your requirements and to discuss the options to get a completely accurate quotation without obligation.
All camping and fishing equipment included but you are welcome to use your own should you wish. You will require your own outdoor clothing.
Dinner, breakfast, hot drinks and some snacks included but lunches are not as standard.
Additional fees will apply for permits and possible access options (boat, Argocat, horse or helicopter!)
One overnight + two Half Days – £430 for first client and £85 p.p. for any further clients (£50 for under 16s)
Two overnights + two Half Days + one Extended Day – £575 for first client and £80 p.p. for any further clients (£60 for under 16s)
